Partnering with Rally Foundation Doubles our Bang!

We are thrilled to announce our partnership with the Rally Foundation, an organization that is empowering volunteers across the country to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer research to find better treatments with fewer long-term side effects and, ultimately, cures.

This spring the Luke Tatsu Johnson Foundation donated $50,000 to two noteworthy research projects that each have a personal connection to Luke. The first study targets inflammatory signaling in pediatric patients with AML (acute myelogenous leukemia). The overall objective of this application is to validate exciting new therapeutic targets using genetic and pharmacological approaches, which could lead to newer and safer targeted therapies. The second study focuses on reagents that target genes (Mirn23a/b MIRNAs) that act as tumor suppressors to stop secondary cancers from developing later in life.

The LTJF board is proud and humbled to support these grants. What makes our donation even more impactful is that the Rally Foundation matches dollar for dollar. Therefore both of these worthy projects receives $50,000 each! We are thrilled about the partnership with Rally Foundation and hope that our funding will positively impact the fight against childhood cancer.
